Assalamualaikum. We all commit sins intentionally and unintentionally… The most important thing is to  repent back and seek forgiveness. Commiting sins over and over again means there is lack of fear of Allah ( may his mercy be upon us). If you want to overcome this, make your bond stronger by Allah by reading quran, praying and doing tawbah. Tawbah in simple words is a promise to Allah , it’s a barrier for you to not commit that sin, so when you are doing tawbah keep this in mind. Having control over yourself is really important and over your actions too because there is no one you can blame on day of judgement for your sin not even Satan as he was sent to earth to distract you from commiting sins.

And Shaytaan (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: “Verily, Allaah promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had no authority over you except that I called you, and you responded to me. So blame me not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allaah (by obeying me in the life of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers).”

    Wa alaikum salam,

I will try to keep it as short as possible. A habit is like a small program that runs automaticaly over and over again. If this habit is haram you need to overwrite it with a halal new habit. This requires awareness of the old habit starting, forcefully stopping it and start a new halal action as the wanted new habit to replace the haram one. Repeat this over and over until the haram habit is automaticaly replaced by the new action.

    • I agree with the previous answer that your fear of Allah should be strengthened. Fasting is a powerful tool too when trying to win a battle against shaitan.

may allah swt be pleased with all of us and grant us goodness ameen.

mashallah it’s great that you’ve decided to turn back to the almighty and i hope it goes well for you! as someone who is a revert, it was very hard to give up my bad haram habits that i had before i reverted but what helped me was thinking to myself “will this benefit me in my akhira” if it wouldn’t then i would try my hardest not to do it. also never underestimate the power of dua and allah’s mercy. remember that if you take ONE STEP towards him, he will come RUNNING subhanallah. hoped this helped inshaallah!

Walykum assalam. Allah gates of mercy are always open for us. Try to avoid those things which lead you to do these sins. Leave it instantly. And Allah is most forgiving. But as human we need to try our best to safe yourself from those things. May Allah help you ameen
